Is Georgia about to take the lead in state level resistance to illegal immigration?

Posted by D.A. King at 11:09 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

The Georgia legislature, we hope, is close to passing into law a bill [SB 529 Chip Rogers R – Woodstock] that will begin to mirror existing, but ignored, federal law.

The threat of actual enforcement of immigration law has enraged the illegal aliens and their enablers here and they have organized a boycott for today. In retaliation, earlier this week a local Spanish language newspaper published a map to Senator Rogers’ neighborhood.

Imagine, the same rule of law that Americans must follow being applied to illegal aliens and their employers! AND BANKERS!

You can read about it from the AJC:

Latinos urge day of protest against bill
Leaders call for economic show of force

By BRIAN FEAGANS
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 03/24/06

A coalition of state Hispanic leaders is calling on immigrants in Georgia not to buy anything today and stay home from work if possible as a show of economic might.
It’s unclear how the one-day effort could affect poultry plants, restaurants and other businesses that rely heavily on immigrant labor. And organizers stopped short of calling it a boycott, saying they only want workers to participate if it doesn’t jeopardize their jobs.

The effort is designed to protest a sweeping anti-illegal immigration measure making its way through the Georgia Legislature, said Julian Herrera, a Norcross pastor and spokesman for the Alianza 17 de Marzo de Georgia (March 17th Alliance of Georgia)… “We’re sending a strong message that if you pass a law that punishes these people, then they will leave,” he said. “Who is going to build the homes? Who is going to do landscaping?”

We should to take time to wonder here if MALDEF national board member – and banker to the illegals – state senator $am Zamarripa closed BANCO UNIDO today in solidarity with the illegal aliens?

Maybe I’ll ask him when I pass him in the halls of the Capitol Monday.

He didn’t look very happy yesterday when I saw him. He didn’t even say hello.

I wonder what effect a one-day boycott to protest the illegal colonization of Georgia by Americans would have?

Atlanta area Spanish language newspaper publishes map to SB 529 author’s neighborhood

Posted by D.A. King at 1:13 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

Mundo Hispanico, a Spanish language paper owned by Cox Publishing and the Atlanta Journal Constitution published a map this week… to Georgia State Senator Chip Rogers’ neighborhood. Rogers’ has braved name calling in the American media, late night telephone threats and now apparently must worry about his family’s safety in their own home…in their own country, due to actions from the foreign language media.

It seems that there are no limits to the shameless intimidation efforts by many who depend on illegal immigration for their profit margins to defeat state legislation that simply says that existing law should be enforced.

What next? Burning at the stake?

See for yourself here. In English. I hope that I am not the only American who contacts this rag.

The illegal alien lobby can’t get story straight …again

Georgia State Representative David Casas [ R- Gwinnett] has written a column in the Gwinnett Daily Post on his views on Senator Chip Rogers’ bill SB 529 [ he supports it], illegal immigration and the people here in Georgia led by state Senator Sam Zamarripa who advocate for and profit from that crime.

Casas has been called “an enemy of the Latino community” by Atlanta’s former Mexican Consul General, Teodoro Maus.

Why? He has taken tha radical position that we should secure our borders and enforce our laws. The horror.

From his guest column in the Gwinnett Daily Post, March 22, 2006:

Maus and his friends are not defending some moral ground. Don’t be fooled by their rhetoric. The byes given to the Democratic Latino legislators, the silence of any criticism toward them by the Hispanic press and their continued hostility toward me (a conservative Republican) is indicative of only one thing — partisan politics is alive and well in the Hispanic community.
What Maus, his friends and their press would like you to believe is the entire Hispanic community is homogeneous in its thoughts and in its issues. They want you to believe all Latinos believe the laws of this country are motivated by racism and are unfair.

We know David Casas to be an honorable American and a fine man. We think considerably less of Zamarripa Inc. Read the entire column here and make up your own mind.

For those who missed it, here are a few photos of today’s rally at the Capitol.

AJC report here.

We are not aware of an AP report. Maybe Associated Press only covers illegal aliens demanding amnesty? That news wire service reporting of last months illegal alien rally can be seen here.

From Atlanta Latino reporting on The Dustin Inman Society:

100 percent against illegal immigration

By Melissa RincĂłn

D.A. King, 53, was born in South Dakota and is president of the Dustin Inman Society, a nonpartisan coalition of citizens of all ethnicities who recognize that illegal immigration and homeland security are the most critical issues in America today.

The activist is presently working on getting bills like SB 529 approved, which requires state agencies to verify the legal status of anyone 18 years and older who solicits public assistance (with exception to emergency medical care).

“We are happy that we are having an effect, proud of the possibility of passing SB 529. We’ll insist that it be enforced if passed…and will be working to make the criminal employers and illegal aliens the No. 1 issue in the 2006 elections here… state, local as well as federal.”

We thank Atlanta Latino for fair and honest reporting.

Jobs Americans will not do – sheer nonsense exposed – Rich Lowery in NRO

Posted by D.A. King at 12:37 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

Rich Lowery, writing in the National Review Online [ March 14, 2006] has hit the nail directly on the head in his latest column debunking the President’s oft touted talking point that there are jobs Americans will not do when peddling his guest worker amnesty .

An excert below. I hope that you will read the entire column…then pass it on. Maybe to your state Rep. – or the Governor.

A core element of the American creed has always been a belief in the dignity of labor — at least until now. Supporters of a guest-worker program for Mexican laborers say that “there are jobs that no Americans will do.” This is an argument that is a step away from suggesting that there are jobs that Americans shouldn’t do.

“President George Bush, a strong supporter of the guest-worker program, has long said that “family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande.” We are supposed to believe, however, that the work ethic does stop there — it is only south of it that people can be found who are willing to work in construction, landscaping and agricultural jobs. So, without importing those people into our labor market, these jobs would go unfilled, disrupting the economy (and creating an epidemic of unkempt lawns in Southern California).

This is sheer nonsense. According to a new survey by the Pew Hispanic Center, illegals make up 24 percent of workers in agriculture, 17 percent in cleaning, 14 percent in construction, and 12 percent in food production. So 86 percent of construction workers, for instance, are either legal immigrants or Americans, despite the fact that this is one of the alleged categories of untouchable jobs.”

Rally on Georgia Capitol steps to demand secure borders and approval of Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act

Posted by D.A. King at 12:44 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

“This is our country, and this is where we will stay.” – Rep. Luis Gutierrez [D- IL] to a crowd of about 100,000 in downtown Chicago, Illinois, USA. Friday, March 10, 2006.

Gutierrez audience? Many admitted to being illegal aliens, all were present to hear speeches that denounced the current effort from the U.S. House of Representatives to secure the American border with Mexico and crack down on illegal immigration.

Many in the mob waved the flag of Mexico.

The governor of Illinois addressed the patriotic multitude…in Spanish.

What Congressman Gutierrez meant was that the illegal alien inhabitants of the Chicago area publicly refuse to obey American laws and were telling the world that they have no plans on leaving now…or six years from now.

Nobody believes that illegal aliens will leave Illinois, Georgia or the United States unless we force them to leave. But first, we must secure the border. Then we must make it clear that there will be no more amnesty for illegal aliens.

The Dustin Inman Society supports the “Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005” (H.R. 4437), being considered in the U.S. Senate as well as the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act ( SB 529) recently ratified by the Georgia Senate and about to be taken up in the Georgia House. Please call your state Representative to express the importance of SB 529.

We are hosting a peaceful rally to make our support for these bills – and the rule of law – very public, on the Georgia Capitol steps Saturday, March 18, 2006 at NOON.

Rain or shine.

We expect people from all over Georgia to attend and make their voices heard to the U.S. Senate and to the Georgia House – and Governor Perdue.

As citizens, we have had enough.

The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund [MALDEF] the ACLU, the Anti-Defamation League, the AFL-CIO and other groups organized a Wednesday morning rally on the Capitol steps to educate about a hundred mostly self-proclaimed illegal aliens on the consequences to be suffered if SB 529 were to become law…and then enforced.

Later the group was urged to go into the Georgia Capitol and lobby Georgia senators to vote “NO” on the bill aimed at discouraging illegal immigration into Georgia. Many of them did. I watched as their handlers and the few English speaking admitted illegals tried to help the Spanish only illegals speak to senators.

Then, as the group filled more than half of the public gallery balcony in the Georgia Senate chamber, Jerry Gonzalez, who operates state Senator Sam Zamarripa’s [D- Atlanta] open borders organization – the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials – explained to the media that legislators should regard the illegal aliens as “constituents” – and listen to their demands.

Escorting illegal aliens into the Georgia senate chamber to demand that the law not be enforced is a fascinating strategy…si?

Please help us show the media that illegal aliens are not the only people who can put pressure on government in America.

SECURE OUR BORDERS! ENFORCE OUR LAWS! NO MORE AMNESTY!

YES TO SB 529! ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS NOT A FEDERAL PROBLEM, IT IS A NATIONAL CRISIS AND WE MUST PROTECT GEORGIA! NOW!

A recent Zogby poll showed that 80% of Georgians want something done about illegal immigration in Georgia.

If you are in that 80%, please come to the Georgia Capitol Saturday, March 18 at NOON, for a two hour rally.
We will have American police protection while we demand that American law be equally enforced.

Photos of illegal aliens hiding in shadows!

Posted by D.A. King at 3:02 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

In Cochise County Arizona – where a very large part of of all illegal immigration enters our children’s nation- it is nearly impossible to drive for more than 10 minutes in any direction and not see a United States Border Patrol vehicle manned by a Patrol Agent.

In Cochise County Arizona, illegal aliens are questioned, apprehended, detained and sometimes jailed and/or deported.

As a result, not many illegal aliens stay in Cochise county Arizona. Lesson? If the immigration laws are enforced, illegal aliens keep moving to other more friendly locations.

I have been to Cochise County several times. I have never seen a “daylabor site” and I have never seen an illegal alien act unafraid of American law enforcement.

Here is a link to two photos of illegal aliens trying to be invisible to a un- manned arial vehicle [UAV] they suspect may be actually looking for illegal aliens.

We should try enforcing the law in Georgia like it is in Cochise County Arizona. We don’t need UAVs to find illegals here.

I seldom agree with state Senator Zamarripa, but he is right, if we do, illegals may go to New Orleans or Alabama.
