Thanks for standing up to the people who would let the illegal finish college on our dime. Hope they lose their jobs. Nobody is held responsible for their actions anymore and that needs to change. Plus, thanks for all the other things you do for the working people of this state and country. I personally think if you’re here illegally, you need to GO !!!!

Rod Paramoure: U.S. must learn from Mexico about immigrationby Rod Paramoure

May 23, 2010

As in the situation of Kennesaw State University student Jessica Colotl, who was found to be an illegal immigrant, there are many human sides to the illegal immigration problem. In her case, she had been forced by her illegal immigrant parents to become Americanized, but she could not become an American citizen. Being on her own in a country that she could not claim, presented a nearly unsolvable dilemma.

Another dilemma is that most of us agree that the majority of the (probably illegal) immigrants that we encounter are decent, hard-working and honest people. With the exception of the murderous drug rings and other gangs, these immigrants are not a personal threat to our security. They are not like the terrorist Islamists we have allowed (often legally) to live in, and plot destruction of, the United States. However, our appreciation of the good character of Mexican immigrants does not alter the fact that they are here illegally.

To continue to permit, condone or encourage, this influx of foreign workers is a potential disaster for the existence of the America we know and love. A look at the society along either side of our Mexican border gives a clear indication of the future of our southwestern states. Our problem is not that immigrants come from Mexico; we have welcomed people from across the world, but we never before had a common border that threatened our sovereignty by making illegal immigration as easy as a daily commute.

Most Mexican-American families are fully integrated in our all-immigrant society, but many of the new immigrants are more committed to Mexico than to the United States. The proliferation of Mexican flags, protest signs in Spanish and the support of illegal immigration render their loyalty to the U. S. highly questionable. Although there is little in Mexican history, government or society that we would wish to emulate, it appears that some Mexican-American communities cling to their native land while living off American charity and good will. Adding insult to injury, the Mexican government meddles in our internal affairs and abets and encourages its citizens to illegally enter the U.S.

Proponents of open borders claim we need to import low-wage Mexican labor. This is nonsense for many reasons. In this land of opportunity, intelligent people will soon abandon low pay for better opportunities. Continuously importing replacement workers will eventually convert us into a Canadian-like, two-language country. In boom times, European countries imported foreigners as cheap labor; they are now stuck with unassimilated and unemployed minority racial, religious and language groups. Uncontrolled immigration is not a fiscal benefit, but a net loss of wealth. Finally, if we cannot survive on the skills and labor of our citizens, we are domed to extinction as a nation of any consequence.

Unfortunately, our own national government has enabled illegal immigration. Its capitulation to the worst kind of power politics has rendered it completely ineffective at its primary job: national security. Both political parties have let winning “Latino” votes preclude establishing an effective national boundary between the U.S. and Mexico. “Comprehensive immigration reform” is code for repeating the “amnesty” fiascos of the past and ensuring the Mexicanization of much of America.

Immigration matters. In 1824, the newly independent Mexican government encouraged American emigration into its Texas territory; so long as they would swear allegiance and adopt the Catholic faith. By 1837, Mexico realized that it was losing control of Texas, and withdrew permission to settle; but it was too late. Illegal immigration continued and caused Mexico to lose Texas and the land that now makes up our Southwestern states.

Unassimilated populations were used as pretexts for World Wars I and II and resulted in hundreds of millions of deaths, and nation-less “displaced persons.”

The original Anglo settlers came to Texas to make better lives for themselves; not to steal the land from Mexico. The current illegal immigration comes mostly for the same reasons. However, the results will be the same as in the 1800s. Millions of uninvited Mexicans are rapidly reclaiming much of the territory lost by their ancestors. If we can’t control our borders, we will lose control of our country.

Citizen complaint filed with federal and state law enforcement authorities for violation of federal and state immigration and public benefits laws regarding admissions and granting in state tuition rates by the Georgia Board of Regents, University System of Georgia.

Request for full official investigation.

On May 19, 2010, D.A. King, president of the Georgia-based Dustin Inman Society, filed a citizen complaint with the United States Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for violation of federal and state laws regulating the administration of federal and state and local public benefits (post secondary education) and the illegal grants of instate tuition to ineligible and illegally present aliens.

Text of letter sent to the federal authorities can be read HERE . Text of letter sent to state authorities can be read HERE .

“Currently, the Georgia University System Board of Regents has in place policies and active procedures that are in clear violation of multiple federal and state laws regarding administration of post secondary education benefits in Georgia’s university system” says D.A. King.

“With illegal immigration rampant in our nation and Georgia suffering a larger population of illegally present aliens than Arizona according to the U.S. Office of Immigration Statistics, the defiant non compliance of the laws set up to protect citizens and lawfully present immigrants from loss of benefits and in this case a public supported college education is despicable” King said. “Where will this end?”

It is illegal to admit illegal aliens into our university system (8USC 1611 & 8USC 1621). It is illegal to grant instate tuition to illegal aliens unless that same rate is granted to all citizens and nationals in the system (8USC1623). State law, OCGA 50-36-1, reflects the same language and intent.

“For too long, Georgian’s have been cheated of jobs, services and benefits because of the fact that elected and appointed officials in our government are allowed to ignore the laws that govern the average Georgian. If the recent media frenzy concerning a illegal alien student illegally attending a Georgia university does not result in an investigation and a visible change in policy and action by the Board of Regents, the message that some are more equal than others will be clear to all of us paying attention” ended King.

An easy to understand outline of existing laws governing public benefits and instate tuition can be read HERE .

Named for a sixteen year-old Woodstock, Georgia youth who lost his life to our unsecured borders, the Dustin Inman Society is opposed to illegal immigration, illegal employment illegal administration of public benefits and open borders.

King, an authority on illegal immigration, lobbied in favor of the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act of 2006.

The below was sent to the GBI by overnight delivery on 19 May, 2010. (NOTE: After mailing , I was told that a citizen may not file a complaint of violation of state law directly with the GBI and that I should contact a local law enforcement agency as a first step. If the reply from the GBI reflects that same information, I will send a similar complaint to local officials charged with investigating violations of Georgia law) dak

Re; Citizen complaint, violation of state public benefits and immigration laws by the Georgia Board of Regents, University System of Georgia

Special Agent Andrews,

Please regard this as my official citizen complaint and notification to you of clear violation of Georgia state law regarding verification of lawful presence within the United States for purposes of obtaining and administering public benefits – OCGA 50-36-1.

Recently members and official spokespersons of the Board of Regents (BOR) of the University System of Georgia have made several public statements regarding the policy set forth to regulate admissions into Georgia’s public funded universities. In doing so, that governing body has made it clear they are aware of the fact that ineligible aliens are not only admitted, but are welcomed into the Georgia university system and are presently attending classes.

Further, that the policy set forth by the BOR knowingly awards and allows instate tuition rates to illegal aliens who illegally reside in Georgia, while denying that same tuition rate to U.S. citizens.

It is my contention that admission of illegal aliens into the Georgia university system is a clear violation of OCGA 50-36-1, as Georgia law is based on and references existing federal law.
(8 USC 1611 as well as 8 USC 1621– “Aliens who are not qualified aliens or nonimmigrants ineligible for Federal (& State and local) public benefits”.

The BOR is in complete and defiant disregard of the fact that Georgia law is designed to protect Georgia’s finite – and shrinking – public benefits from the ravages of the organized crime of illegal immigration.

I also submit that the instate tuition scheme is an easily recognized violation of both the letter, spirit and intent of 50-36-1 as the Georgia law is also based on and references 8 USC 1623, which addresses and limits eligibility for preferential treatment of aliens not lawfully present on basis of residence for higher education benefits.

Georgia law clearly requires the Board of Regents to comply with federal laws: (7) “For postsecondary education, whereby the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia or the State Board of Technical and Adult Education shall set forth, or cause to be set forth, policies regarding postsecondary benefits that comply with all federal law including but not limited to public benefits as described in 8 U.S.C. Section 1611, 1621, or 1623.”

The number of eligible and eager citizens and lawful aliens who have been denied admission to, or instate tuition rates in, Georgia universities is unknown to me.

As a proud but concerned U.S. citizen, I am hereby respectfully requesting an investigation and that any resulting case be forwarded to the Attorney General of Georgia for prosecution.

If I am incorrect in assuming that your office has authority to investigate obvious flagrant and public violations of Georgia law, I would be grateful for any guidance your office can provide to direct me to the proper authorities or agency.

As an aid to your investigators, below I include a list of names of the 18 individuals who make up the Board of Regents of the Georgia University System of Georgia and for whom this complaint is intended, as well as officially listed contact addresses.
