ACLU Calls For Changes To U.S. Border Policy

November 12, 2009

SAN DIEGO — A new report shows the number people dying at the U.S.-Mexico border is increasing because of the U.S.’s border policy.

According to the report, more than 5,000 people in the past 15 years have died while trying to get into the U.S. anywhere between Texas and California.

The American Civil Liberties Union sent their own report to the Commission on Human Rights. It said the border fences and increased patrols are forcing illegal immigrants to cross into the U.S. in places that could kill them.

I see you pain, I see you care, I see you Idea…

But when I read history, the fathers of this nation did never got any visas to come here so they are illegals..

“ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL, NO MATTER HOW LONG AGO THEY CAME HERE”

AS ONE RACIST U.S. CONGRESSMAN SAID IN A RECENT INTERVIEW,

THEN, WE NEED TO RE-FRAME THIS WHOLE QUESTION

OF WHO IS ILLEGAL:

THEREFORE:

The descendants of Pilgrims who illegally came here in 1607 are illegals.

They crossed our border, the Atlantic ocean, without our permission, 400 years ago.

They entered our continent illegally violating our laws of collective rights to our lands and our continent,

and even under current European colonial laws they themselves are here illegally,

if laws are not applied in a racist fashion.

Therefore, Europeans and their descendants have no right to be here and should all be deported.

THAT IS IF YOU WANT TO START TALKING “ILLEGALS” AND “BORDERS” AND “LAWS”

WE THEREFORE REMIND EUROPEANS

ON OUR CONTINENT THAT:

They have no right to question any Nican Tlaca (Indigenous person) rights to be anywhere on our continent

(from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in “South America, we are all one Nican Tlaca nation, Indigenous people).

We have a right to be everywhere on our continent. This includes Mexicans and “Central Americans”

who are in their vast majority Nican Tlaca, full-blood and mixed-blood—just look at our Nican Tlaca faces.

We do not recognize European illegal colonial borders, nor their right to govern our lives.

It is a criminal and monstrous injustice what Europeans have done to us over the last 500 years.

Thefts of our continent and the smallpox warfare that killed 70 to 100 million of our people

are just the most monstrous crimes, but there are more crimes to the huge list.

We Nican Tlaca are one people, the collective owners of this whole continent.

We are Indigenous only to this continent. Europeans have their home in Europe.

We have nowhere else to go on this planet except this continent!

Why do Europeans feel guiltless about having stolen our home and wealth

and having killed 95% of our population? Are we still not human to you?

Europeans should behave as a decent civilized people in our house, our home, our land, our continent.

Apologize at least. Start giving us some of our best lands back, even if only little by little.

Europeans should show some decency in how they deal with us, the Nican Tlaca of this continent.

Europeans can’t just say we are now First Nation of Canada or Mexicans or “Central Americans”,

or Native Americans or whatever you want to call us,

and then suddenly we are no longer Indigenous beyond your declared borders

and that we no longer have rights to be everywhere on our continent.

It is our human right to migrate

to any part of our continent!

We say all of this for you to reframe in your minds the question of who is the true owner of this land,

this continent, and all of its vast wealth of resources. What do you expect us to do, to keep swallowing

lies, injustices, and the impoverishment and genocide (assimilation) of our people?

DO YOU EXPECT US TO EAT THE LIE THAT WE NICAN TLACA ARE SOMEHOW ILLEGAL

ON THE PART OF OUR CONTINENT THAT YOU CALL “THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”?

YOU SHOULD NOT EXPECT THAT OF US!

WOULD YOU ACCEPT SUCH SLAVERY AND INJUSTICE?

WHY DO YOU DEMAND THAT WE BE YOUR SLAVES?

STOP THESE LIES AND THE MONSTROUS INJUSTICE

IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE OF HUMANITY LEFT!

To be angry, as we are, because of the hidden injustices (stolen continent, holocaust, genocide, destruction of our civilizations, and other monstrous crimes) is not about hate, nor is it racist, it is about an urgent demand for a truth and justice that we are owed, a demand for the return of our honor and our full humanity.

Would any other human being demand anything less?

So if you are American you are fake because America is Fake!!!

Repost – four years ago, my first column on 287 (g)

Why do we lag behind Alabama and Arizona on law enforcement?

By D.A. King, Marietta Daily Journal, November 10, 2005

Last week, I returned from my third trip to Cochise County on the Mexican border in southeast Arizona.

Fully one-half of the illegal immigration into our nation comes through Arizona, a very large part of that through Cochise County. Few illegals linger in that area.

Border Patrol headquarters in Washington reports that in the first six months of this year, it apprehended more than 696,000 illegal aliens on our southwest borders. The official line is that for each one caught, two or three make it into our nation. Do the math.

Maybe you have seen some of them around Georgia.

In my most recent trip, I spent four days driving around, speaking to local ranchers and property owners and visiting with business owners in restaurants, hotels and shops.

It is quite an education.

If you travel there from Georgia, the first thing you will notice is the absence of the flag of Mexico. I saw only one the entire time I was there. It was flying in Mexico.

I saw no “day-labor” sites.

I ate in several restaurants and stayed in two hotels, one in Bisbee – not eight miles from the Mexican border- the other in Sierra Vista and attended a meeting in a third.

Another glaring difference between Cochise County and Georgia is that the workers seem to be those pesky “gringos” that we are told will not do the construction work, or be cooks, busboys, landscapers or grounds-keepers.

I spent more than a few hours talking with many of these folks, and it turns out that they were indeed …Americans!

How can this be?

Strolling down the main street in Bisbee, I chatted with a man named Tom who was – get this – painting a storefront. In broad daylight! Kind of like what I saw here in Georgia ten years ago.

Maybe an illegal alien from Holland or Ireland I thought, so I stopped and asked where he was from. “Originally, St. Louis” he said, “but I have lived here for twenty years”.

Hmmm.

It is unusual to drive more than a few miles around Cochise County Arizona without seeing a Border Patrol vehicle, most often, a pick-up truck emblazoned with the emblem of that law enforcement agency, driven by an armed Patrol Agent and mounted with paddy wagon- like enclosure used to hold and transport illegals after they are apprehended.

What a concept.

I have wondered before about the distance from the border at which illegal aliens stopped being apprehended and removed from the U.S. – and began to be regarded as oppressed victims “living in the shadows” while they are “looking for a better life”.

I have a good grasp on the answer now.

Illegal aliens do not stay long where they know American immigration laws are enforced.

Retired Border patrol agent and Cochise county citizen Dave Stoddard confirmed my conclusions. “Operation area for Border Patrol goes as far as Tucson, but in Phoenix, two hundred miles north of the border, there is little presence”. “There, you will see day-labor sites and fearless illegal aliens, mostly from Mexico.” he said.

In Georgia as well Dave – gangs and meth dealers too.

I bring all off this up because as part of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1996, section 287 g, state and local governments have the ability – and right – to send law enforcement personnel to be trained by the federal government and authorized to enforce federal immigration laws.

That includes apprehending and detaining illegal aliens for both civil and criminal federal violations.

What a concept.

The state of Alabama has chosen to take advantage of this law. [Alabama!]

It suffers about ten percent of the number of illegal aliens as does Georgia. Florida has trained some of its state troopers to enforce federal immigration law. Arkansas and Tennessee are right behind.

All are far ahead of Georgia. We should all be asking why.

The recently signed Homeland Security Appropriations act of 2005 provides federal money to pay for the training.

Unsecured borders and immigration laws that go un-enforced is national suicide and any elected official who is not actively striving to do all they can to remedy the situation is complicit.

As much as the criminal employers of taxpayer subsidized illegal labor will resist, as voters and citizens, we must demand that all available solutions be used to put a stop to the madness.

If we cannot change our elected official’s minds on this concept, we have a duty to change our elected officials.

When is the next election again?

Enforcement works – Facts on 287 (g) from the Gwinnett sheriff

Posted by D.A. King at 7:24 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

From the Gwinnett County, Georgia sheriff’s Website:

On January 12, 2009, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) began a 26-day surge at the jail to check all inmates for their immigration status.

At the end of the 26 days, ICE had placed detainers on 914 foreign born inmates in order to begin deportation proceedings. These numbers revealed that 68 percent of our foreign born population at the jail is here illegally.

The following chart lists the charges on those inmates with detainers. Fifty-four percent of the 914 had a previous criminal history. The vast majority of those with prior criminal histories had previous criminal histories in Gwinnett.

As many are already aware, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office applied for the 287(g) program in March of 2008 and received the unanimous support of the Gwinnett County Commission in funding 18 deputy positions in order to implement the program.

The 287(g) program would allow deputies, under the supervision of assigned ICE agents, to place detainers on those inmates who are in the U.S. illegally. Those illegal aliens would then be turned over to ICE for deportation proceedings. Currently, we are still waiting on approval for the 287(g) program from ICE.

Sheriff Conway again would like to thank the citizens of Gwinnett for their continued interest in this program. We will keep everyone updated on the status of 287(g) as that information becomes available.

Sincerely,
Sheriff Conway HERE

List of elites working against US workers as unemployment soars

Every month, we get more terrible unemployment news. (Now, we hear the official unemployment rate has hit 10.2%!) — And every month, I must call on Americans to force the nation’s elite leaders to answer why they insist on importing 125,000 working-age foreign citizens each month…

On “E-Verify working smoothly” and Georgia Chamber of Commerce CEO George Israel: D.A. King letter to the editor published in the Chattanooga Times Free Press

D.A. King letter to the editor published in the Chattanooga Times/Free Press

HERE

( Original news report ” E-Verify working smoothly” – November 3, 2009) HERE

Dear Editor
National unemployment are rates approaching 10%. If the genuine goal is to protect the beleaguered American worker, mandatory use of the federal employment eligibility database “E- Verify” is a no-brainer.

According to the federal government, E-Verify has proven to be over 99.5% accurate. Most of the 5.8% of employees who received a negative response were people who had escaped capture while sneaking into our nation in violation of American immigration laws.

Only 0.5% of the employees who were U.S. citizens or authorized foreign workers had to contact the Social Security Administration because of errors in the database. No employee is fired without a detailed and extensive appeal process to prove legal immigration status.

E-Verify is internet based – and operated – and is no cost (FREE!) to the user employer.

Misleading objections to universal use of E-Verify from George Israel, CEO of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, should be considered along with the stated “primary goal” of his powerful lobbying organization: “to further the business interests of our membership.”

It was the United States Chamber of Commerce that spent millions on various lawsuits in a furious effort to stop the mandated use of E-Verify for federal contractors.

On protecting American jobs – and a living wage – E-Verify works too well for some.

BONUS: Below is the Georgia Chamber of Commerce position on “Immigration”

Immigration – “The Georgia Chamber of Commerce recognizes that immigration is one of the most complex social issues of our time. Industry faces, and will continue to face, a growing shortage of both highly-skilled professionals and laborers in many sectors of our economy. Failure to address these shortages will result in the relocation of businesses to other nations where there is an abundance of skill-appropriate workers.

In addressing immigration issues, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce supports:

efforts by state government to establish a lawful, manageable, and monitored guest and essential worker program to fill the growing gaps in our state’s workforce — recognizing that, in some cases, permanent immigrants will be needed to fill labor shortages; and efforts by Georgia businesses to continue to comply with current immigration laws and regulations and verify documents of foreign-born employees.

The Chamber opposes efforts by the federal government to place additional administrative burdens on businesses. Georgia businesses that employ foreign-born employees should be prudent in the verification process and also be careful to avoid document discrimination. Immigration laws and regulations must also indemnify and recognize the good faith efforts of employers and businesses that do comply with existing verification procedures and requirements. It is critical that immigration reform refrain from unduly burdening employers with worker verification systems that are under-funded or unworkable. ” HERE

FAST FACT: 60% ( 800,000) of the Guatemalans in the U.S. are here in violation of imigration law: Guatemalan Sec. of State

Posted by D.A. King at 10:30 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

Prensa Libre (Guatemala City, Guatemala)

Guatemalan strategy re U.S. immigration reform

Haroldo Rodas, Guatemala’s Minister of Foreign Relations, [Sec. of State] yesterday revealed the strategy that the country will utilize in the U.S. so that an eventual migratory reform in the country [the U.S.] might include 11 points which would make it “integral” for fellow citizens, especially for Guatemalans. It deals with a proposal reached in consensus with the networks of Guatemalan migrants in the U.S., which El Salvador joined to give it greater impulse. At a press conference, Rodas revealed that the U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is aware of Guatemala’s proposal because he sent her a letter last August containing the 11 issues regarding better treatment of migrants.

Among other aspects, it seeks to make the migrants’ special protection mechanisms stronger, more flexible and humane, especially when the return to their country of origin may result in high risk, such as with the Temporary Protection Status program. [ A program granting temporary, renewable, legal status to citizens of certain countries due to political upheavals, including civil war, in their countries of origin, which results in high personal insecurity as a result of that political instability.] Rodas added that with the addition of more countries there would be better possibilities of advancing [the issue]. Besides El Salvador, it is expected that Mexico, Belize and the Dominican Republic will join Guatemala’s initiative, although the country is already lobbying.

Benjamin Monterroso, of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and coordinator of the Guatemalan Work Team for Migratory Reform, expressed optimism about the interest shown by senators and congressmen, such as Luis Gutierrez. Those present agreed that, added to President Barack Obama’s campaign offer to implement that reform, and the naming of Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, to be in charge of following up on the matter, it makes this a “good moment.”

The Chancellor stated that 1.5 million Guatemalans are to be found in the United States and that 60 percent – some 800 thousand – could benefit from the reform. Monterroso explained that if the migratory problem is not resolved before the end of May 2010, it will take three to five years to bring it up again, and he underscored the “279 Votes” campaign, the necessary number to approve the new law, that is to say, 218 congressmen, 60 senators and one president.

Eddy Garrido, of the National Council for Assistance to the Guatemalan Migrant (“Conamigua”), stated that the leaders of the organizations will themselves be the lobbyists who will promote these points in the American Congress.
