Freshman Georgia state Rep Brenda Lopez (D- Norcross) on illegal immigration, and illegal aliens who benefit from Obama’s 2012 re-election deferred action on deportation decree:

“These are young folks that are basically more American than some of us that may have been born in this country, right?” ”…these are American kids for all intents and purposes.”

Rep Lopez can be seen uttering her take on being American and the rule of law at 10:26 HERE.

Rep Lopez was one of twenty-six House members who voted against HB 452, which requires that GBI share information it is already receiving from ICE on the release of violent, convicted criminal aliens.

The Washington D.C.- based Center for Immigration Studies reports that in 2015, the Feds (ICE) freed 19,723 criminal aliens, who had a total of 64,197 convictions among them. These included 8,234 violent convictions and 208 homicide convictions. While the total number of releases is lower than the past two years, since the number of arrests has declined quite dramatically, the rate of releases is approximately the same — meaning that this is no progress at all, and certainly will be no consolation for the victims of these criminal aliens.

The table below enumerates the criminal convictions associated with the released aliens. The largest number of convictions was for Driving Under the Influence; there were 12,307 alcohol DUI convictions and 354 drug DUI convictions, for a total of 12,661.

We regard Rep Lopez as unapologetically anti-enforcement on immigration in the United States.
