Fast Fact: Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) says Georgia drivers license/ID Card not proof of lawful status – and much more

–> “A Georgia DL/ID is not proof of lawful status in the U.S. so it is important to note that an expired LIMITED-TERM [2] card does not mean the person is in the country illegally.”

Here (4th paragraph) [3], from the official DDS website. And…state law [4] allows even an expired drivers license as “proper identification” at the polls.

BTW: This (DDS) is the same credential-issuing office that told a reporter –  in writing – that

“Those non-citizens in Deferred Action Status are eligible for GA licenses and IDs per the Federal Dream Act [5] (assuming that they meet all other GA licensing criteria).”

Here. [6]

*Bonus fact: DDS now issues credentials to illegal aliens [7] in Employment Authorization Code category C-18. You can see USCIS description of code ‘C-18’ here on page 12-23 [8]. Very educational.
