King \u2013 president<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public statement regarding court decision granting instate tuition to illegal aliens<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fulton County court says \u201cyes, by all means, reward illegal immigration!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have created a scenario in which a potential young \u2018Dawg\u201d from Orlando may be asking why he is charged more tuition at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uga.edu\">UGA<\/a> than the illegal aliens residing in Doraville\u201d says D.A. King.<\/p>\n<p>A Fulton County Superior Court judge has apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/state--regional-govt--politics\/judge-georgians-shielded-from-deportation-may-pay-state-tuition\/0PuOrVGdeBD9lo8hhMAfTO\/\">agreed with the illegal alien plantiffs and their lawyer, Charles Kuck<\/a>, that benefitting from outgoing President Obama\u2019s illegal DACA administrative amnesty allows them to claim \u201clawful presence\u201d &#8211; and thereby instate tuition at public, taxpayer-funded Georgia universities.<\/p>\n<p>We trust there will be a long appeals process.<\/p>\n<p>This, while U.S. citizen and legal immigrant families who obeyed the rules and joined the American family lawfully living in other U.S. states scratch their heads wondering why they must pay the much higher tuition rate in USG schools while foreigners with illegal status pay less.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Kuck <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gpb.org\/news\/2013\/07\/31\/immigration-attorney-to-challenge-regents\">publicly acknowledges<\/a> what the Obama administration makes clear: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/humanitarian\/consideration-deferred-action-childhood-arrivals-daca\">\u201cdeferred action does not provide lawful status.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From here, we have noted that if the Regents were truly dedicated to preserving the integrity of the USG admissions and tuition process they could easily adjust the language of their regulations to clarify the original intent that illegal aliens not be put ahead of real immigrants in admissions or tuition rates.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/insideradvantage.com\/2014\/04\/29\/a-no-illegal-alien-left-behind-lawsuit-the-board-of-regents\/?utm_source=Copy%20of%20InsiderAdvantage%20for%20April%2028%252C%202014&amp;utm_campaign=IA%20Todd%20Rehm%2004252014&amp;utm_medium=email\">Insider Advantage Georgia, April 2014<\/a> :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTo easily end this ridiculous and volatile situation and to limit the state\u2019s cost of defending the admissions policy from the illegal alien lobby\u2019s lawsuit, the Regents can and should simply alter the existing 4.1.6 regulation to include the term \u201cstatus.\u201d That would mean Kuck\u2019s \u201cit depends on the meaning of lawfully present\u201d lawsuit would go away immediately.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We also note that while a judge in Georgia has seen fit to reward the illegal status of these victims of borders and parental abuse, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedustininmansociety.org\/blog\/2016\/11\/29\/instate-tuition-for-illegal-aliens-in-gop-georgia-federal-agencies-and-lawfully-present\/\">various federal agencies decline to grant illegal aliens with DACA status benefits such as Obamacare and federal student aid.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We urge the Regents to adjust their regulation to match common sense public opinion.
