King / Twitter:@DAKDIS

Nationally recognized, Georgia-based , pro-enforcement immigration watchdog group announces that Bob Barr has been named “least favorite” candidate in the race to replace Dr. Phil Gingrey in Georgia’s 11th congressional district.

Today, Dustin Inman Society president D.A. King announced his organization’s naming of former ACLU lobbyist Bob Barr as “least favorite” candidate in 11th congressional district’s Republican primary contest for the U.S. House. Established in 2005, this is the first time in the group’s history that such a designation has been made. King says has nothing against Barr personally.

Mr. King notes that many blogs and news outlets, including Barr’s home-county newspaper, the Marietta Daily Journal and the editors at the conservative National Review magazine have accurately noted the “weathervane” (“Weather Vane Bob Barr, September 30, 2013”) approach to politics presented by former Libertarian candidate, Bob Barr. In describing it as a desire to return to the “Nexus,” well-known blogger, radio host and Fox News commentator, Eric Erickson has used his conservative Redstate blog to warn readers on sending Barr back to congress.

The editors at National Review: “The good news is that whatever you think about the major issues of the day, at some point in the past two decades, Bob Barr agreed with you. The bad news is he may set a record for the most pieces of legislation a congressman voted for and then later renounced.”

As a candidate for another political party and just seven years after the horror of 9/11, Bob Barr apparently suggested that President George W. Bush be impeached for his measures against terrorism for crying out loud” noted D.A. King. “Flip-flopping on the War on Drugs, Defense of Marriage, National security legislation, and Right-to-Life topics should be concerning to all self-described conservatives” King continued, “but our focus is on immigration related matters and Barr is all over the political map on this issue. Much of Barr’s support is coming from a Tea Party leader in Cherokee County” said an astonished King. He doesn’t think they read Nat’l Review.

King says his biggest concerns are the past statements from Barr on regulating the numbers of immigrants, legalization of illegal aliens and workplace verification. “After voting to establish what is now called E-Verify while in congress as a Republican in 1996, Barr is now opposed to the no-cost use of the job protection tool” marveled King. “This, in addition to his ongoing position that immigration be limited only for terrorists, criminals and the seriously ill, doesn’t assure those of us who are paying attention on the causes and remedies surrounding our immigration and employment nightmare. I dare Barr to go tell the Americans standing in the unemployment line that their solution lies in more foreign workers, increased immigration and ignoring existing federal systems to keep black-market labor from American jobs.” Said King.

King has posted a wealth of further information detailing Barr’s political “box of chocolates” on the Dustin Inman Society Website, DIS Facebook page and his Twitter account – @DAKDIS.

As noted on the bottom of release- much more HERE MEDIA ADVISORY January 27, 2014 The Dustin Inman Society www.TheDustinInmanSociety.org Marietta, Ga. 30066 Contact:DA@TheDustinInmanSociety.org D.A.
