{"id":4291,"date":"2011-08-24T09:54:07","date_gmt":"2011-08-24T14:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thedustininmansociety.com\/blog\/?p=4291"},"modified":"2011-08-24T09:54:51","modified_gmt":"2011-08-24T14:54:51","slug":"obama%e2%80%99s-backdoor-amnesty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedustininmansociety.org\/blog\/2011\/08\/24\/obama%e2%80%99s-backdoor-amnesty\/","title":{"rendered":"Obama\u2019s Backdoor Amnesty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Front Page magazine<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Obama\u2019s Backdoor Amnesty<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Obama administration\u2019s new immigration amnesty is a purely political calculation intended to shore up the president\u2019s sagging support among Latino voters.<\/p>\n<p>President Obama has a habit of not enforcing laws he doesn\u2019t like.<\/p>\n<p>He doesn\u2019t like the Defense of Marriage Act so he won\u2019t defend it in the court. He doesn\u2019t like energy exploration so he has ignored court order after court order that would allow deep-water oil drilling. He doesn\u2019t like the free speech protections in the Supreme Court\u2019s decision in Citizens United v. FEC so he\u2019s planning an executive order to undermine it.<\/p>\n<p>Now we can add immigration laws to the list. <\/p>\n<p>But Obama cannot come out and state baldly that he is ignoring the law of the land, a move that diminishes respect for the rule of law and shows prospective illegal immigrants that America doesn\u2019t care if they respect the nation\u2019s borders. He has to try to convince the American public that his refusal to enforce the law is somehow in the best interests of the nation.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly what he\u2019s done.<\/p>\n<p>Justifying the new, thinly veiled immigration amnesty, President Obama continues to draw on the teachings of Rules for Radicals\u200b author Saul Alinsky.<\/p>\n<p>Alinsky, the neo-communist father of modern community organizing whose tactics Obama taught in college, wrote that \u201cyou do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral garments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Alinsky\u2019s tenth rule \u201cof the ethics of means and ends,\u201d all great leaders lie and use moralistic propaganda in order to accomplish their goals. They invoke \u201c\u2018moral principles\u2019 to cover naked self-interest.\u201d They must do this because \u201c[a]ll effective actions require the passport of morality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It irritates President Obama that Congress has not passed his beloved Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act so he has decided to bypass the nation\u2019s lawmaking body, ignore existing law, and simply decree it&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/frontpagemag.com\/2011\/08\/22\/obama%E2%80%99s-backdoor-amnesty\/\"><br \/>\nContinue reading <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Front Page magazine Obama\u2019s Backdoor Amnesty The Obama administration\u2019s new immigration amnesty is a purely political calculation intended to shore up the president\u2019s sagging support among Latino voters.
