{"id":3745,"date":"2010-11-15T11:07:03","date_gmt":"2010-11-15T16:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thedustininmansociety.com\/blog\/?p=3745"},"modified":"2010-11-15T11:11:09","modified_gmt":"2010-11-15T16:11:09","slug":"save-users-in-georgia-as-of-1-november-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedustininmansociety.org\/blog\/2010\/11\/15\/save-users-in-georgia-as-of-1-november-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"SAVE users in Georgia as of 1 November, 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SAVE USERS IN GEORGIA as of 1 Nov 2010<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>NOTE: LIST OF USERS AND PENDING <a href=\"http:\/\/thedustininmansociety.org\/blog\/?p=3709\">HERE<\/a><br \/>\n<strong><\/p>\n<p>INFORMATION ON SAVE AND GEORGIA&#8217;S PUBLIC BENEFITS LAW <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedustininmansociety.org\/info\/ga_sect_9_sb529.html\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From a report received from the U.S. Citizenship &#038; Immigration Services\/U.S. Department of Homeland Security. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Total active SAVE users, all agencies: 300<\/strong><br \/>\nSome of these have effective dates as late as October, 2010<\/p>\n<p>Total with pending applications, all agencies: 111<\/p>\n<p>*County governments active: 102<br \/>\n*County governments pending: 19               <strong>Total: 121<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are 159 counties in Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>*Municipal governments active: 87<br \/>\n*Municipal governments pending: 76           <strong>Total: 163<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are 535 municipalities in Georgia<\/p>\n<p>*Both (consolidated governments) active: 3<br \/>\nPending: 3<\/p>\n<p>*\u201cOther\u201d entities that administer public benefits, active 10<br \/>\nPending: 11                                                    <strong>Total: 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Totals may not add to 411 due to counting \u201cBoth\u201d) <\/p>\n<p>The number of \u201cother\u201d official agencies that administer public benefits is unknown. Due to language in 2009, HB 2, all official agencies administering public benefits are required to file an official report with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dca.ga.gov\/PBRegistration\/LocalPBReg\/TechnicalResources.aspx\">Georgia Department of Community Affairs <\/a>by January 1, 2011. Assuming there is 100% compliance with that mandate, it will be possible to create a list of all agencies that should be using the application affidavit and SAVE verification system for monitoring purposes.<\/p>\n<p>The list of SAVE users was received from:<\/p>\n<p>SAVE Program, Verification Division<br \/>\nU.S. Citizenship &#038; Immigration Services<br \/>\nDepartment of Homeland Security<\/p>\n<p>Above complied by D.A.
