{"id":2452,"date":"2009-09-02T08:50:30","date_gmt":"2009-09-02T12:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thedustininmansociety.com\/blog\/?p=2452"},"modified":"2009-09-02T23:40:06","modified_gmt":"2009-09-03T03:40:06","slug":"text-size-a-a-a-arrest-made-in-fatal-hit-and-run-yes-its-an-illegal-laien","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedustininmansociety.org\/blog\/2009\/09\/02\/text-size-a-a-a-arrest-made-in-fatal-hit-and-run-yes-its-an-illegal-laien\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrest Made In Fatal Hit And Run &#8211; yes, its an illegal alien"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em> Tulsa  ABC  TV8<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arrest Made In Fatal Hit And Run<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Authorities say they have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run crash that killed an elderly bicyclist Tuesday morning in west Tulsa.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly before 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, investigators located the vehicle believed to have been involved near 31st and Southwest Boulevard, just over a mile away from the scene of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>From there, they later located the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Roberto Torres, who officials say is an undocumented Hispanic male.<\/p>\n<p>Torres now faces charges of leaving the scene of a crime, felony hit and run and possibly manslaughter. He is currently in the Tulsa County Jail.<\/p>\n<p>Torres is accused of being behind the wheel of an SUV that struck and killed 74-year-old Beverly Duffield near 17th and Southwest Boulevard. It happened shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the driver of the SUV was exiting Interstate 244 at 17th Street and struck Duffield, who was riding a bicycle along the access road.
