Handing a rather dim SPLC-bot commissioner a victory after she smears a conservative from the official microphone and the ethics board recommends sanction says a lot more about the race-based politics there than it does me or the pro-enforcement work we do at the Dustin Inman Society.<\/p>\n<p>We see more proof of who is most equal in the sewer that is the Gwinnett County commission.<\/p>\n<p>In her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gwinnettdailypost.com\/multimedia\/photos\/gwinnett-boc-chairwoman-charlotte-nash-s-apology-letter-to-rep\/pdf_4877c4e8-dd09-11e6-a135-5bdc5fe51563.html\">apology letter<\/a> to him, Chairwoman Charlotte Nash told John Lewis that \u201churtrful words should not have a place in governing.\u201d So much for her principles. Nash is a transparent fraud and the fact that she lacked the courage to stand behind the ethics rules and procedure she helped set up has been duly noted. I\u2019ll be surprised if by this time next year Gwinnett commissioners are not <em>required<\/em> to spead the anti-borders hate oozing out from the SPLC. King\u2019s participation in a 287(g) forum that she hosted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-preview\">\n<p>The ethics board sustained two of six points King laid out against Fosque in a complaint he filed last August. The commissioner had condemned Sheriff Butch Conway earlier in the month for inviting King to be one of his three representatives at Fosque\u2019s 287(g) forum. That end came with several residents, ranging from elected officials to everyday citizens, standing up and proclaiming their support for the commissioner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve learned to really work together with people more and to be open to work with everyone, but I really learned that I\u2019ve got to know who to trust and who not to because our motives have all got to be the same if we\u2019re working on a project together,\u201d Fosque said after the public hearing ended.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>King, however, decried the decision in a statement \u2014 in which he called the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners a \u201csewer\u201d \u2014 on Thursday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>The Rule of Law is dead in Gwinnett County,\u201d King said. \u201cHanding a rather dim SPLC-bot commissioner a victory after she smears a conservative from the official microphone and the ethics board recommends sanction says a lot more about the race-based politics there than it does me or the pro-enforcement work we do at the Dustin Inman Society.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>\u201cWe see more proof of who is most equal in the sewer that is the Gwinnett County commission.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>Several people who spoke against issuing any sanctions against Fosque spoke favorably about her and their opinion of the job she has done as a commissioner. For her part, Fosque abstained from participating in the hearing and sat in the audience, listening to people speak for and against her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"tnt-ads-container text-center \">\n<div id=\"fixed-big-ad-middle-asset\" class=\"tnt-ads dfp-ad\" data-lazy=\"true\" data-refresh=\"true\" data-google-query-id=\"CO3Uro2v9OcCFYNkwQodV30Nng\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/132916964\/gwinnettdailypost.com\/local_6__container__\">\u201cShe is a great commissioner, and as a matter of fact, she is one of the best commissioners up here,\u201d Snellville resident Claudette Forbes told commissioners. \u201cSo, this reprimand needs to be put aside, like it never happened, because it\u2019s not necessary.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>Fosque said she was appreciative of the people who voiced support for her during the meeting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just thankful to all of the citizens who came out in support,\u201d Fosque said after the hearing ended. \u201cMy original intention was to create a space where our residents in Gwinnett County can come and voice their concerns, and I stayed neutral the entire time during the 287(g) forum.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>There were supporters of King in the audience as well, however.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subscriber-only\">\n<p>Two supporters of King stood up and spoke during time allotted for people in favor in approval of the ethics recommendation.
