Saudi&#8217;s to electrify their border fence."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We can only assume that that tireless <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/2005\/12\/20\/D8EK9N0G6.html \">defender of \u201chuman rights<\/a>\u201d,   El Presidente Fox of Mexico, is busy packing his bags to travel to the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>The Saudis are considering electrifying their border fence with Iraq. The nerve of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aztlan.net\/may_1st_boycott.htm \">some people<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>This American is green with envy at the concept.<\/p>\n<p>This from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/me.asp?service_id=11166 \">Al Jazeera.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saudi electrified fence along the whole border with Iraq<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Worried that sectarian violence in Iraq could spread to neighboring countries, Saudi Arabia is considering a major fortification of its 900km desert border with Iraq, according to an article on The Christian Science Monitor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The government is thinking of building an electrified fence along the whole border with Iraq in case things go really badly in Iraq, and it starts falling apart,&#8221; a Saudi security adviser said on condition of anonymity because the government hasn\u2019t made any official announcement about the border plans. However, Saudi authorities have admitted that they are devising plans to strengthen the country\u2019s border defenses. &#8220;We are currently conducting a study on technical defense systems which we can use to beef up security measures along the border,&#8221; Mansour al-Turki, an Interior Ministry spokesman, told the daily Al-Riyadh<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>And\u2026 a European diplomat is complaining that the Americans [that\u2019s <em>US<\/em> folks] are not doing enough to secure\u2026umm\u2026Iraq\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But a top European diplomat accused the Americans of not doing enough to secure Iraq\u2019s borders. \u201cWe&#8217;re impressed with what the Saudis are doing. The problem is with the Americans in Iraq. The American-controlled side of the Iraqi border is less secure because they don&#8217;t have enough troops deployed there.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We know just how this guy feels.<\/p>\n<p>I could write all day about the irony of these developments, but I am just going to end here and hit \u201csend\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Having been busy concentrating on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ledger-enquirer.com\/mld\/ledgerenquirer\/news\/local\/14370028.htm\">Georgia\u2019s security<\/a> lately,   I am behind in my reading. <\/p>\n<p>I want to catch up and read about the Democrat\u2019s newest top priority. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washtimes.com\/national\/20060420-121647-1179r.htm \">Border security<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>American border security.<\/p>\n<p>Except for the illegal alien lobby and the militant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/story\/0,2933,190770,00.html\">McCain &#8211; Kennedy    no borders\/amnesty wing <\/a>of the United States Congress, I am having no small difficulty in thinking of many who are <em>not<\/em> to the right of President Bush on border security. <\/p>\n<p>American border security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We can only assume that that tireless defender of \u201chuman rights\u201d, El Presidente Fox of Mexico, is busy packing his bags to travel to the Middle East.
