Below is the reply.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sent to USCIS Public Affairs Officer Pamela Wilson following Friday and Saturday phone conversations:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Please provide an official answer. Does USCIS consider any deferred action on deportation recipient, including DACA beneficiaries, to have lawful status?<\/p>\n<p>Separate question: Does USCIS consider any deferred action recipient, including DACA recipients, to have \u201clawful presence?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>D.A. King<\/p>\n<p>__<\/p>\n<p>Emailed reply from Ms. Wilson at USCIS today (emphasis mine):<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hi Mr. King:<\/p>\n<p>You may attribute the following me as \u201c Pamela Wilson, USCIS Spokesperson\u201d or use \u201cUSCIS Officials\u201d whichever you prefer, on the following official statements.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Current law does not grant any legal status for the class of individuals who are current recipients of DACA.
