What is more diverse than the presidential field of the Democrat Party? The board of the Dustin Inman Society – and any event we have ever done.

We wanted to wait until the crazies oozed out with their hate to post pics and more info on our Saturday event. We waited only two days! The anti-borders mob is having a cow!

We were hoping it would be Jim Galloway at the AJC who spread the slime first. As it happens, it was Media Matters with the SPLC lies and hate-mongering.

We had plenty of security.

Kathy Inman, Dustin’s mom, here.

The Eventbrite page is here.

Program here.

A freak snow storm in N. Georgia and Atlanta and over-blown warnings from the media kept a lot of paid attendees home on this Saturday morning.

Tom Homan had some remarks about Georgia Gov. Kemp on Fox and Friends Saturday morning. Here.

Mr. Brian Pritchard of FetchYourNews.com was in attendance and had D.A. King on his AM show Monday, February 10 here.

FetchYourNews also did a report on the event.

–> Attention shoppers! Here is a link to a new book further exposing the already disgraced SPLC.

Mary Ann Mendoza is a scheduled speaker at the Republican Convention tonight (Tuesday, August 25). Mary Ann is an Angel Mom and will be speaking on behalf of all American families that have lost loved ones to illegal immigration and honoring her son, Brandon, a police officer who was killed in 2014 by a drunk illegal alien.

Mary Ann can be seen here giving a preview of tonight’s convention speech.

We were extremely proud that Mary Ann traveled from her home in Arizona to be a featured speaker at the Dustin Inman Society’s immigration forum in Atlanta, “Honoring Immigrants: An Expert, Pro-Enforcement Discussion on Immigration” in Atlanta, February 7, 2020.

Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan was our featured speaker. Atlanta media did not cover our event. Neither did the discredited SPLC.

Mary Ann gave a heartbreaking account of her son’s death and pointed out the national changes needed to save future deaths at the hands of illegal aliens and the fact that all illegal alien crime is preventable. Mary Ann has been a faithful friend and incredible help to Billy and Kathy Inman, Dustin Inman’s parents. Billy passed away in 2019. See “Who was Dustin Inman.”

Angel Mom Sabine Durden-Coulter

We also note that one of our board members, Sabine Durden-Coulter, was a speaker at the 2016 Republican Convention that nominated Donald Trump for President. Sabine’s son, Dominic, was a 30-year-old sheriff’s office dispatcher, hit and killed by an illegal alien driver in 2012. Dominic was on his his motorcycle. Sabine is also an Angel Mom and offered her opinion on illegal immigration and American families and the Democrat convention that took lace last week on Fox News.

“They want to flood our country with illegals and non-citizens and us Americans, who paid into the system, we’re supposed to pay for that. That’s wrong, it can’t happen, and it won’t happen,” Durden-Coulter told “Fox & Friends First” last Friday.

“They are telling us that is more important to them and every American needs to wake up because what happened to myself and thousands of other Americans who suffered the same tragedy like myself they need to wake up,” Durden-Coulter said.

Georgia state Rep Vernon Jones

Vernon Jones (L), D.A. King at a 2007 DIS Atlanta rally against immigration amnesty.

We were overjoyed to see our old friend Georgia state Rep Vernon Jones give a rousing and moving speech at last night’s (Monday) GOP gathering. Rep Jones has been a friend of DIS since 2007 when he attended one of our Atlanta rallies against a repeat of the failed 1986 “one-time” amnesty for illegal aliens and illegal employers.

Rep Jones, a Democrat, was a leading co-sponsor of anti-sanctuary city legislation, HB1083, introduced in the Georgia General Assembly in the 2020 session. After a hard but successful fight against  the discredited and disgraced SPLC and the anti-borders GALEO, to see the bill pass out of committee, the Republican Speaker did not allow a floor vote of the lifesaving bill.

Additional photos of then-Commissioner Jones at our lunch-time pro-enforcement rally outside the offices of then-U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss can be seen here (page 2). You can see and hear Rep Jones’ entire speech last night below.

Former ICE Director Tom Homan condemns Gov. Kemp

ATLANTA, Ga – Gov. Brian Kemp received the proverbial earful from former ICE Director Tom Homan over his broken campaign promise to deal with illegal immigration in Georgia.

Homan was the keynote speaker at an event held by the Dustin Inman Society, titled “Honoring Immigrants: An Expert, Pro-Enforcement Conversation on Immigration.”

“Georgia’s the next California. You’ve got a governor over here that made promises to his constituents, whose been missing in action on that issue,” Homan told the room. “Keep your word and do the right thing. We’re not asking you to do anything out of the ordinary. We’re asking you to support the enforcement of the nation’s laws.”

Homan told the room he spoke with a special agent about Kemp, who agreed that Georgia’s governor isn’t following through with his promise to curb illegal immigration.

Kemp’s campaign platform took a tough stance on immigration. He even released a “Track and Deport Plan,” where he promised to “create a comprehensive database to track criminal aliens in Georgia. He will also update Georgia law to streamline deportations from our jails and prisons.”

In 2019, Kemp dissolved a controversial Immigration Enforcement Review Board, which civil rights groups viewed as a harassment tool for anti-immigration groups.

“They talk the talk during the campaign, but they won’t walk the walk,” claimed Homan about most politicians. The only exception being President Donald Trump, who has taken decisive action to prevent illegal immigration in the states.

Homan encouraged attendees to call the governor and hold him accountable for his campaign promises.

Border crossings by the numbers
Trump declared a national emergency at the Southern Border on Feb. 15, 2019, because close to $1 million illegal crossings were occurring.

“72 percent of the crossings were either family units or children by themselves. Children under the age of 18 because of that humanitarian crisis, 50 to 60 percent of border patrol agents were no longer on the lines. They were changing diapers, making formula, making hospital runs,” said Homan.

According to the former ICE Director, the lack of agents on the border contributed to the 68,000 opioid deaths of Americans.

“Border is unprotected; drugs are going to flow. Many investigations clearly show criminal cartels in Mexico manage the entire northern Mexican border…They will get 100 to 150 family units, push them through one sector at one time and tie up all the border patrol assets in that area. Meanwhile, they’re moving the bad guys. The guys that don’t want to turn themselves in and claim asylum. [The cartels are] moving MS13 members and drugs over here,” Homan stated.

Doctors Without Borders reported that 31 percent of women crossing the border experienced some form of sexual assault during their journey.

“Children are dying. The cartel is making millions of dollars a year,” asserted Homan.

He also mentioned the decrease in illegal crossings, which are down 72 percent from the high in May 2019. Homan attributes this reduction directly to Trump and the actions that he has taken, including forcing Mexico to enforce its laws.

14,00 children were in American government custody because a criminal organization haul smuggled them across the border. 2,500 families have been separated. Also, the border patrol has saved 4,000 immigrant lives.

Mexico has reportedly removed 86,000 Central Americans this year.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol published online records pertaining to illegal immigration.

“In Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 To Date (TD), during the month of January, a total of 29,200 individuals were apprehended between ports of entry on our Southwest Border, compared to 32,857 in December and 33,514 in November. In FY19, a total of 851,508 individuals were apprehended between ports of entry on [the] Southwest Border.”

Current numbers for 2020.

ICE Effectiveness
In an effort to clear up misunderstandings about ICE’s role in immigration and arrests, Homan said, “no one ripped a child out of their mother’s arms. It was zero tolerance, not family separation.”

ICE wanted to prosecute people who broke the law, and with zero tolerance, numbers dropped 26 percent in two weeks in the Rio Grande Valley. However, the president stopped the policy after receiving political push back.

Zero Tolerance did result in the separation of families because a child can’t go to the U.S. Marshall if the parent committed a crime.

Homan brought up sanctuary cities and how the policies put ICE agents in danger due to a false narrative that they arrest victims and witnesses.

“89.8 percent of ICE arrests were illegal in the United States and had a criminal conviction or pending criminal charges when arrested because they were locked up in a jail cell,” Homan asserted. “Victims and witnesses shouldn’t be afraid because we’re not looking for them, and we’re not arresting them. Criminal aliens are going to re-offend in the very community in which they live. The immigrant community.” Read the rest here.

*Updated The Atlanta Journal Constitution strikes again – inaccurately uses “anti-immigration” description (again) corrects, then reverses correction… in less than 48 hours #AJC

Posted by D.A. King at 2:08 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

Image: AJC

The Atlanta Journal Constitution strikes again. Twice. In less than forty-eight hours.

After constantly correcting them – for sixteen years – on the fact that being pro-enforcement on immigration doesn’t qualify anyone, including me, as “anti-immigrant” or “anti-immigration” – and that I am neither – they have again labeled me as “anti-immigrant” And “anti-immigration.” Did I mention it was twice in less than forty-eight hours?

Oh, and BTW: They seem to not approve of the concept of nationalism.

The morning after my late-night phone call/voice mail to an AJC reporter twenty minutes after his story on a Gwinnett County 287(g) panel discussion in which I participated hit the internet, the AJC changed their “anti-immigrant” description of me in the online version of the story to “anti-undocumented immigrant…,” then, in the same story for the next day’s print version ran a photo of me with the caption describing me as “a controversial anti-immigration activist.”

Without exaggeration, by phone, email and letters, I have told these people about fifty times that I fight for enforcement of immigration and employment laws and for sanity in immigration levels. That my adopted sister is an immigrant.  As are many donors and some members of the board of the Dustin Inman Society, which I founded in 2005.

The most recent example is a letter to the editor that was sent – and published – last June in response to another inaccurate and libelous depiction of yours truly as “anti-immigration” that was also changed after I complained:

“A recent column by the AJC’s Bill Torpy on the front of the Metro section falsely referred to me as an “anti-immigration activist.” The widely known truth is that for the last 15 years I have proudly fought for sanity in immigration and enforcement of American immigration laws. That effort is easily and succinctly described as “pro-enforcement.”

For the record – yet again – I am not “anti-immigration” any more than the folks at Mothers Against Drunk Driving are “anti-driving.” Neither is my adopted sister, who is an immigrant.

In today’s media, the angry leftists who scream in American streets waving placards that literally demand an end of immigration enforcement are usually described as “civil rights” or “immigrant rights” groups. Never the obvious “anti-enforcement” groups.

A majority of Americans – including millions of immigrants – support honoring our rich tradition of immigration with the unapologetic enforcement of our very liberal immigration laws. The fact that media writers intentionally and deceptively depict us as being “anti-immigration” is an illustration of the inherent liberal bias and eagerness to smear honest Americans on the most critical issue of our time.

AJC writer Torpy seems to be “anti-accuracy.”

D.A. KING, MARIETTA, PRESIDENT, THE DUSTIN INMAN SOCIETY Here.

Note: I have no idea why some of the text above is different font and I cannot make it go away...

Either these very liberal editors and reporters don’t read their own newspaper, are unable to retain information longer than an hour – or they are driven by an agenda to dishonestly marginalize anyone who does not adopt the “immigration enforcement is extreme/racist” position. To be clear. I firmly believe it is the latter.

In the AJC world, corporate-funded, screaming  anti-enforcement activists are described as “immigrant advocates.” Sometimes “civil rights activists.”

The reporters and leadership of the Georgia’s largest newspaper should be regarded as an organ of, and for, the illegal alien lobby from here on. I have asked for another correction and retraction.

–>*Update: Too funny: They corrected the whole cloth fabrication that I was somehow on the panel as a representative of the Sheriff, here. But the “credible”, “compelling”, “complete” coverage AJC editor Kevin Riley constantly tries to sell on radio ads never corrected the fake news that I am an “anti-immigration activist” – while they portrayed the anti-enforcement mob as “immigrant advocates.” Note to the propagandists at the AJC: Even the New York Times has made that correction on my motivation.

The editor of the AJC is Kevin Riley. Despite the fact that the shrinking AJC has no public editor, neither he or most of his editors respond to my emails or phone calls. *Notable exception: Editorial Editor Andre Jackson, who I believe to be an honorable journalist in every sense of the word. Andre Jackson is the only employee I know at the AJC that I trust.

The story is too long to tell at one time here, so only a little expansion for now.

On a panel discussion in Gwinnett County focused on 287(g) an AJC reporter filed this story late on the same night as the event (they don’t seem to like the self-description of “proud American nationalist” at all). The 1996 federal tool, 287(g) is designed to locate illegal aliens who land in local jails. Note that the anti-287(g) participants (some who dropped out) are referred to as “immigrant advocate groups.”

In the first try, I am described in this paragraph with

“King spoke first and audience members opposed to 287(g) greeted him with signs filled with his previous anti-immigrant rhetoric. His opening statement riled them further.”

After my phone call complaint, it was changed to:

“King spoke first and audience members opposed to 287(g) greeted him with signs filled with his past comments regarding undocumented immigrants. His opening statement riled them further.”

In the print version (that is also sent out electronically) of the same story that ran on August 2, the AJC editors reversed the reporters previous correction and inserted a photo of me with the caption:

“D.A. King, a controversial anti-immigration activist, represented the sheriff’s office on a panel discussion of the 287(g) program.” (All emphasis mine)

Image: AJC

Not only is the “anti-immigration” activist description wrong. but the AJC has invented out of thin air the notion that I was somehow representing the sheriff’s office. I would have been very proud to do that, but I was asked to speak on 287(g) as president of the Dustin Inman Society.

So, questions for the AJC team – if I was supposedly representing the sheriff, who were the three anti-enforcement characters representing? How did it happen that only D.A. King was supposedly representing somebody else in your story?

Image: AJC

The young AJC reporter asked me one or two questions – and that was clearly a formality on his way out the door. His lead query to me?

“Do you think you inflamed this event? …by being here, I mean.”

Contact info for the AJC leadership here. The columns the AJC editorial page team has published from me listed here. Did they inflame anyone by printing them?

I have sent them a letter to the editor about the fact they use the disgraced SPLC as an arbiter of “hate…” I will post it tomorrow if they don’t run it.

–>*Update: An edited and shortened version of my letter finally ran. Many thanks to Mr. Andre Jackson.

Pee-uuuu.

UPDATED with video. Answering the smear – again. “blow up your buildings…” – or how the lie Jim Galloway passed on in 2007 is being used by race-hustlers against me in 2019

Posted by D.A. King at 10:22 am - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez – photo, DIS

smear

damage the reputation of (someone) by false accusations; slander.

“someone was trying to smear her by faking letters”

synonyms: sully, tarnish, besmirch, blacken, drag through the mud/mire, stain, taint, damage, defame, discredit, defile, vilify, malign, slander, libel, stigmatize, calumniate.

There is a difference between immigrants and illegal aliens. Opposition to illegal immigration is not “anti-immigrant” (for the 1000098888th time).

Many anti-enforcement race-hustlers, including the SPLC, George Chidi and GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez are again spreading various versions of the lie that in 2007 I went to Covington, Ga. and told a room full of curious people that immigrants are here to “blow up your buildings and kill your children, and you, and me.”

This is an intentional lie and uses the common practice of the left of redefining the English language, and taking a few words out of context to wield as a smear weapon to silence pro-enforcement advocates.

At a 2007 GOP meeting where I was invited to speak on illegal immigration I was in a segment of my presentation that mentioned what the MSM or the illegal alien lobby will never allow the public to know: Individuals from countries with known ties to terrorism are coming over our borders illegally. It was true then and it is true now. Here is a quick link from 2016.

To be clear for the slow: I am saying that some illegal aliens – both illegal border crossers and visa violation or overstays – come from terrorist countries and they are not all here to work on the cheap. I am not talking about legal immigrants. The leftist media and the corporate-funded illegal alien lobby constantly try to blur the line between the two.

I had recently returned from one of my many trips to the Arizona/Mexico border where Border Patrol Agents confirmed that fact for us.

A reporter from the local newspaper was present for my speech and wrote the meeting up. Here is a part of his story in which he quotes me:

“The porous border with Mexico is especially dangerous, he added, saying that it has been an entrance point for people from countries with known ties to terrorism.

“They’re not here to mow your lawn — they’re here to blow up your buildings and kill your children, and you, and me,” he said.

To prove his point, he flaunted two authentic Mexican government-issued photo ID cards — called matriculas consulares — that he said he was able to get using fake Mexican birth certificates. One of them lists his name; the other is under the name “Al Qada Gonzalez.” ( Note from D.A. – no, mine, like many, are fake)Current enforcement is so lax, he said, that the cards can be used in some states to obtain valid drivers licenses and board airplanes.

Georgia, which has seen a large influx of illegal immigration in recent years, should also be prepared to become a new front for problems with employment and crime that have been seen in border states, he said.”

The entire report can seen here – I pasted it into my blog.

I also have had a congressional report on the terrorost/border angle plainly posted on the DIS homepage since it was issued in 2006.

Members of Hezbollah have already entered the United States across the Southwest border”. “A Line In the Sand: Confronting the Threat at the Southwest Border” U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security report, 2006.

This is not the first time this fabrication has come up. Several months after the Covington speech, GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez began his campaign to convince people I made the statement about “immigrants.” That lie was passed on by the AJC’s Jim Galloway in his Political Insider blog – using the term “reportedly.” When I saw it, I called Galloway and explained GALEO’s intent to create fake news, sent him the Covington news report reflecting what I actually said and asked him to run a correction and explanation of the out-of-context smear he had helped perpetuate.

I never heard another word about it from Jim Galloway and it was never corrected to my knowledge.

This is just one example of how the media helps pass on lies about honest Americans who fight for immigration enforcement and secure borders. I have to spend time correcting lies and defending my reputation because the “watchdog media” is anything but.

Below Democrat politician explains the “wrap up smear.”

Thank you to retired immigration agent Robert Trent for the letter of support

Posted by D.A. King at 5:26 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

The below letter was received here this afternoon. Mr. Trent has been a welcomed source of support for years here.

1 August 2019.

Dear D.A.,

We are following the absurd reaction to your helping with education on the life-saving 287(g) program in Gwinnett as best we can from here in coastal Georgia. I send this note to express my own appreciation and respect for the professional way you are handling the race-baiting name calling from the people who make it clear they want no immigration enforcement in Georgia or the U.S.

Having watched your work and dealt with you for the last six years I know you to be dedicated to an equal application of the law and praise your support for law enforcement officers, including ICE. I admire you work in the Georgia Capitol and I hope that you will continue to fight the fight to preserve the concept of American borders and honoring the legal immigrants who obey our laws.

Removing criminal aliens from our communities makes us safer. It appears your opponents fear you, because you expose their lies. I have never seen a reputable study showing immigrants won’t report crime because we enforce our immigration laws.

As you know, I have a professional lifetime dedicated to immigration enforcement and I do not take kindly to the intentional lies and character attacks on you I am seeing online. The ad hominem assaults on you and Sheriff Conway in Gwinnett County over the use of the 287(g) is in fact an assault on all law enforcement officers and serves to provide great insight into the lack of integrity of the desperate characters who hide behind cries of “racism” while they project their own anti-American hatred and anger in those baseless attacks.

If I can help you with any part of this with my own reflections on your work, please do not hesitate to contact me.

News we enjoy posting: Calling it ‘the new normal,’ feds arrest 200 illegal aliens in NC this week

Posted by D.A. King at 5:32 pm - Email the author   Print This Post Print This Post

“After North Carolina’s largest counties cut ties with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency said it’s been forced to adopt a “new normal”: one that resulted in the arrest of hundreds of immigrants living here illegally this week.
“This is the direct conclusion of dangerous policies of not cooperating with ICE,” said Sean Gallagher, who oversees the agency’s operation in the Carolinas and Georgia. “This forces my officers to go out onto the street to conduct more enforcement.”

Since December, newly elected sheriffs in the state’s two most populous counties — Mecklenburg and Wake — have reversed a policy that notifies ICE about the legal status of inmates in county jails. The Durham County Sheriff’s Office also ended the practice of honoring ICE detainers.
